⦁ Sophia Dubose- An Ivy League educated, beautiful, single 35-55yrs young woman with a benevolent nature. Very independent and financially comfortable. Not much into dating because most men are a bit intimidated by her. Sophia never thought about owning and operating a Cocktail Lounge until her own father's best friend was about to lose his bar if he didn't come up with a plan to save it from foreclosure. She promised her father on his "deathbed" that she would use her business education and her own money to help Thadeus Jenkins save his neighborhood Tavern.. Thadeus Jenkins has been running his Tavern since 1925 when it started out as a private drinking place for his close friends. One strange thing about Thadeus is, he always looked the same as he did 100 years ago... TJ agreed to teach Sophia everything he knows about owning and operating a bar. TJ teaches Sophia things that will help her survive in that kind of clientele oriented business. How to stretch the expensive cognacs and Brandys without changing the taste. Know who to give credit to and who not to. He taught Sophia that you can make just as much money in a small neighborhood lounge as you can in one of those large capacity "super clubs" with all them young troublemakers that can't handle their liquor and think the only way to solve an argument is with a 9mm gun. Sophia finds out that she enjoys the Lounge business, and she enjoys being ask for advice from her customers. Sophia is a "problem solver", a people person and a lonely woman. Her friends are always trying to convince Sophia to start dating and enjoy the "fruits of her labor".                                                                    Ms. dubose just wants to complete her goal of owning and operating the a successful tavern as she implements all the secrets taught to her by TJ.                                                                but, there is one secret tj never revealed to sophia about the "house special".. A cocktail that can only be found at the century old lounge.                                                                   tj's Bar & Lounge.. "ladee jooze" was created over 100 years ago by his ex-wife, (monique's mother).. a staunch "temperance movement" founder and organizer..                                       she wanted to create a (non-alchol) cocktail that would satisfy the consumers of liquor, beer and other spirits without them becoming drunk and engage in immoral behavior that causes the decay of a god-fearing society. she would make enough  for the (vip) customers of tj's, like al jolson, bessie smith, babe ruth, josephine baker, and charles lindbergh, to name a few.                                                           in order to keep the "recipe" from getting into the wrong hands or maybe lost, or altered,tj married a daughter of the temperance movement.
