Whispers of intrigue surrounded the property, with locals spinning countless tales about why no one had dared to bring it back to life. The most enduring legend spoke of its Prohibition-era glory days when it was the town’s most vibrant hotspot. Celebrities, politicians, and locals alike flocked to this Parisian-inspired venue, which was owned by a charismatic World War I veteran named "Thadeus Jenkins", better known to the community as "TJ." His legacy still lingers in the collective memory of the quiet town, nestled near a bustling Midwestern river city. Determined to breathe new life into the historic space, the three friends purchased the property. As they explored its dusty, forgotten corners, they unearthed a treasure trove of history tucked away in the basement.. wooden boxes filled with documents and relics from the building’s storied past. The basement itself had gone untouched since the night TJ mysteriously disappeared following a devastating fire that nearly destroyed the structure. Amid the cobwebs and forgotten artifacts, the women discovered a peculiar item, a liter-sized glass bottle, still corked and filled with a light golden-brown liquid. Dusting off the label, Sophia revealed its name.. "Ladee Jooze," written in elegant purple script. As they delved deeper, they learned the bottle contained a rare and fascinating concoction—a unique alcoholic spirit invented in the mid-to-late 19th century by a member of the Women’s Temperance Society. This one-of-a-kind formula was said to give the consumer the sensation of inebriation without the typical impairing effects of alcohol. What they found wasn’t just a relic of the past, it was an opportunity that would change their lives forever. With a trove of similar bottles, some not labeled, hidden in the basement.. the three women realized they had stumbled upon more than just a building rich in history.. They had uncovered a piece of forgotten "good or evil", "real or magic " that could transform their dream into a phenomenonal reality or an unintended "nightmare", and write a thrilling new chapter in the story of the mysterious "cocktail", and this historic "speakeasy"!
